Company History
As the world's largest marketplace for IT service professionals, OnForce has achieved many key milestones
in recent years. Take a look at the timeline below to see where we've been, and check back often to see
where we're going in our never-ending pursuit to improve the way that companies find and manage the IT
skills that they need.
 |
February of 2003: Version 1.0 was launched and ComputerRepair.com was born as an IT service professional location tool. Anyone in need of service was able to browse professionals in their area.

 |
August of 2003: Our rating system was added to give buyers the ability to rate technicians on the work they had performed.
April of 2004: Version 2.0 was launched and added full work order management functionality, as well as the ability for buyers to pay technicians electronically upon successful completion of the work performed.

 |
December of 2005: ComputerRepair.com became OnForce, Inc. to reflect the evolution of our business and the marketplace. While our roots were in computer repair work, our buyers and professionals had moved into a wide range of on-site IT services, including rollouts and installations of IT categories like VoIP, point of sales and consumer electronics. Thus OnForce was born to provide the world's first on-demand marketplace for IT service professionals.
August of 2006: OnForce released version 3.0, enabling all new levels of visibility into the marketplace. For the first time, visitors to our site were able to search for technicians and work orders by keyword or location. Since its launch, the Explore the Marketplace tool has been used by VARs, solution providers and IT staffing firms to run nearly 1,000,000 queries of the OnForce marketplace, quickly becoming the most popular research tool in the IT services industry.
June of 2007: OnForce launched version 4.0 of our platform, which introduced PowerMatch, a highly precise matching engine that offers a 1-100 score measuring the degree of fit between a work order and the professionals in that area. Based upon more than a dozen carefully selected criteria, PowerMatch enables OnForce buyers to quickly find the professionals whose skills, performance and location best match each work order, dramatically increasing quality and customer satisfaction.
