I have worked for over 20 years as an electronics/computer technician. For over 15 of those years I have worked as a field service engineer. I have traveled all throughout New England, servicing business/computer systems and networks. I enjoy working with the public providing technical services and support. I currently provide a variety of services from new computer system installations, PC repair, network installations to hardware/software upgrades and more. You will find me knowledgeable in the configuration and use of Windows 98/00/XP and NT. I also have a light background with the use of UNIX. In the past couple of years I have completed various DELL certifications as well as the Comptia A+ Certification.
A brief overview of my career: while working at NETS Electronics in Bedford NH, I helped support the various networks and equipment at the Shaws and Star supermarkets. The products have varied from the wireless links that upload the price changes to the main servers that stored the information. While in the US Army and at Tycom in Exeter NH, I was trained in IPC-A-610c standards and Soldering, attaining Certifications in both, I am capable of troubleshooting down to the component level if necessary and properly replacing the offending part to IPC Standards. I have many years of experience troubleshooting and repairing photocopiers, typewriters and facsimilie machines. Working in-house as a Test Technician, I have been in charge of Data Collection and Documentation and also have authored two Q&A articles in various company newsletters.
