Challenge
Based out of Corpus Christi and Midland, Texas, ITechWest provides IT management, network design and repair to small and medium sized businesses. Realizing that the remote location of his offices was limiting opportunity, owner Shane Bell decided the company would venture into new geographic areas, but he lacked a concrete strategy.
Solution
Having read about OnForce in Processor Magazine, and seeing how it was free to join, Bell signed up as a service pro and was surprised to find a number of service requests within his newly targeted regions. ITechWest has since built its business around the OnForce marketplace, allowing the site to manage its sales, marketing and payroll functions.
Result
Using OnForce, ITechWest has no need to further advertise its services. Service buyers come to OnForce, find ITechWest, and begin a service relationship with little effort. "I don't even know how to put a number on the amount of money we saved not having to do any marketing," said Bell.
ITechWest also uses the marketplace as an administrative tool to track its staff and work in progress. "You can see what all your techs are doing from one central location, and see what work orders are routed to whom," said Bell. "It's especially beneficial for us because our techs are located all over Texas, we can see a broad scope of what is going on. The time savings has been absolutely impeccable."
